The Greats: Recess Theory’s “Tonight, This Three Hour Drive”

This may have been the most accidentally downloaded song thanks to asshat Napster song titles and Sean Parker idiocracy. From the first chords and rolling drums, this song immediately pulls you across the asphalt with stumbling feet and poorly fitting shoes. Pseudo-harmonies from voice cracking teenagers and simple tempo shifts move in and out, dropping to a slow trudge and twinkle that is just so damn beautiful. Impossible to skip, bound to repeats, and a desert island song you never knew you needed.
